The day this was taken, I had awoken early the morning after a late night wedding. Surprisingly, I wasn’t tired. I was energized and excited. Our Air BNB was in the heart of the Rocky Mountains. Right on the precipice of adventure. I felt God nudging me to go out and explore.
So I did.
Not knowing where I was going, I stumbled through the trees next to the cabin until I found this series of trails. Then I was able to explore and travel the road other strangers had walked before me, learning from them and being guided every step of the way.
Sometimes life is like this.
We feel a nudge to go. Where, we don’t know yet. We just know we must start putting one foot in front of the other. We must walk by faith and not by sight.
Then as we wander through the underbrush, we come upon a path that is well-marked. We find others who have walked the path we are just beginning.
We would never be able to find that well-worn trail if we did not enter into a season of wandering through the underbrush. The underbrush shapes and transforms us. It forces us to rely on someone besides ourself.
Whether you are on a well-marked trail or wandering aimlessly through the underbrush, I’m praying you can experience and know that there is a God who loves you and is leading you one step at a time
"For we walk by faith, not by sight."
